Differences between Anime and Manga[]

  • The anime shows Hatsuka in the shower cabin before he opens the door.
  • The anime removes Kou's inner monologue that describes his thoughts while finding out that Hatsuka is a man.
  • The anime combines Nazuna's argument with Nico with Kou's and Hatsuka's conversation.
  • In the manga, Hatsuka has a brief flashback that shows an unknown person in a female school uniform when Kou mentions doing things out of one's own will and not for the sake of others. This has been removed in the anime.
  • The anime removes Kou's inner monologue as he describes what kind of person Hatsuka is.
  • The anime adds a closeup shot of Hatuka's bottom as he bends down to talk to a sitting Kou.
  • The anime removes the scene where Hatsuka wonders to himself why Kou came to his apartment in the first place.
  • The anime shortens the scene where Kou gets chased by two police officers and skips over one of the officers, who becomes strangely excited when Kou runs away.
  • The anime removes the scene where Hatsuka picks up Kou after he jumps off the bridge and flies him to the rooftop where the vampires gather, instead having Kou run to the rooftop all the way.
  • The scene where Kou runs shows a compilation of the people Kou has met so far, such as Arisa and Kiyosumi Shiragawa.
  • The scene where Kou runs towards Nazuna adds original shots of other characters: Akira staring at the night sky from her bedroom window, Mahiru delivering flowers on his bike, Anko smoking on a bridge while looking at the sky, and Kiku Hoshimi sitting on a swing with an expressionless face.
