Lira Echigo (
Appearance[]
Lira is a cute and unusually tall girl with a doll-like appearance. She has sparkly light brown hair and big dark eyes that, depending on her mood, are either full of light or lose all of their luster (Yandere eyes). She wears a headdress, dresses with patterns, like checked and flower patterns, and frills, along with baggy sleeves. Fittingly, her shoes and socks are also very old-fashioned and designed with patterns. On Halloween, she wore another cutesy dress with a ribbon at her collar.

Lira is described as "someone with a fairytale-like aura" whose mind is constantly occupied with love. She is emotionally unstable, switching between moods in the blink of an eye. She is also traumatized by the bullying she received in the past and is very sensitive about people laughing at her. In general, Lira is friendly to others but is also very immature. When she falls in love, Lira becomes unresponsive towards anyone who isn't her current boyfriend, follows her boyfriend whenever she can, talks to him, and showers him with compliments without pause, much to the chagrin of everyone else.
Lira likes to read, being part of the literature club, though the books she owns at home are picture books. That doesn't mean she does not read regular literature, as she is a big fan of Kyouko Mejiro's diary and is fond of her writing style. She falls in love almost instantly, believing it is the work of destiny, but dumps her boyfriends after two weeks at most, explaining that she quickly loses interest. Lira also becomes very possessive when falling in love and is prone to jealousy, displaying yandere tendencies.
As described by Lira herself, she is "in love with being in love" and enjoys the feeling of it so much. But when it ends, that feeling disappears and she doesn't know why she even liked her boyfriend in the first place. This prompts her to break up with Kou, wishing to do so before she falls out of love with him.

- Lira hates her name as, when read out, it can sound like "ecchi gorilla" (えっちゴリラ ecchigorira?), which is a name people used to bully her with during her childhood. They'd call her a gorilla due to her unusually tall height.
- Her name has been translated to Rila Echigo in the German localization.
- Lira's name may be in reference to the flower lilac, as it's written the same way in Japanese.
- According to Nico, most of the boys in class have dated Lira at one point.
- Lira sometimes refers to herself in third person.
